This RIAI Best Sustainability Project 2011 award winning building is part of the masterplan for UCD's Roebuck student residence, and was the first certified Passivhaus project of this size in Ireland or the UK. It was completed to exemplary performance standards. The building includes low embedded energy, extensive use of renewable/recyclable materials, solar water heating, rainwater harvesting and GGBS concrete superstructure among its many sustainable features. It caters for 134 students.
